Southern Pacific 4449

Probably the classiest steam locomotive still in operation in the US if not the world. It lives in Portland Oregon. It is most famous for the American Freedom Train locomotive during the 1970's

One of my favorite Steam locomotives, the Southern Pacific 4449. It is seen at Brooks, Oregon (Near the Oregon Electric Railway Museum) returning from Sacramento a few year ago, (92) or-4449-01.jpg (18912 bytes)4449 being pulled by SP units at Willamette Pass, Oregon, near Cascade Summit.
